Thierry Racine’s path to distillation began as a collective endeavor, a shared initiative that soon awakened in him a deeper creative impulse. What started as collaboration gradually became a vocation.
When one member of the original group chose to pursue an independent course, Thierry continued the venture alongside the remaining partners, driven by the desire to develop absinthes marked by his own sensibility. From the outset, he approached the craft with patience and curiosity, refining his understanding through practice and attentive observation.
His journey has also been shaped by a more discreet inheritance: relatives who had long distilled clandestinely shared with him fragments of experience and memory. This quiet transmission, both living and unspoken, continues to inform his work and anchors it firmly within the history of Val-de-Travers.
