A Val-de-Travers gin of taut presence and subtle spiced depth, where botanicals unfold with precision and control.
Charmeuse de Serpents 42% is a London Dry gin crafted by Distillerie Stillerie, inspired by the discreet resilience of clandestine distillers during the Prohibition era. The name nods to the “Snake Charmers”, a term once used to describe women who distilled gin in defiance of American prohibition.
Technically anchored in the London Dry tradition, this gin is built on a structured botanical base. Angelica root, iris root, and calamus bring depth and dryness, while both grande and petite absinthe contribute herbal intensity and aromatic lift. Juniper remains present, integrated rather than dominant.
At 42% ABV, it offers a herbaceous and subtly spiced profile, finishing with restrained citrus brightness. Balanced and expressive, Charmeuse de Serpents stands as a disciplined gin with historical undertones and botanical complexity.

Distillerie Stillerie stands today as one of the leading forces in the contemporary revival of absinthe. Rooted in the Val-de-Travers yet oriented toward exploration, the house combines technical rigor with a deliberate spirit of innovation — in distillation, in visual language, and in its entrepreneurial approach. Each cuvée remains anchored in mastered tradition while intentionally extending its boundaries.
Juniper-led, enriched by vegetal nuances and measured spiced accents. The opening is clean, followed by a broader, more grounded evolution leading to a dry, persistent, and controlled finish.
Best enjoyed neat or over ice to experience the expression in its most direct and unmediated form.
Pairs elegantly with roasted almonds, salted nuts, and refined savory nibbles. The contrast between subtle salinity and herbal complexity enhances aromatic freshness while balancing the palate, making it an ideal companion for aperitif moments.
Charmeuse de Serpents represents a more structured articulation of gin, tense, nuanced, and precise, where botanical clarity is complemented by subtle spiced depth.
